Bellever can be found on the river East Dart about a mile south of Postridge. Bellever Farm famously introduced Galloway and Aberdeen Angus cattle onto Dartmoor. When the Forestry Commission bought the farm in 1931 they built houses for their workers who planted the magical Bellever Forest.
The oldest youth hostel in Devon still functions in what were the barns of Bellever Farm.
